The Conservation Professional Development Programme

Take your well-being, impact, and career direction to the next level

What is it?

The Conservation Professional Development Programme is a totally new coaching programme proven to significantly improve the wellbeing, impact, and career direction of conservation professionals

The programme is targeted towards early and mid-career conservation professionals -from across the globe.

All staff from within a conservation organisation – including support staff – are welcome to apply for a place.

The key is we’re looking to support people seeking to improve aspects of their wellbeing, impact, and career direction.

How does the programme work?

The programme is 6 months in total and is flexible according to your schedule.

The commitment is around an hour per week and is designed to be done in your lunch-hour

Included in the programme are four ways to take your professional development to the next level

1:1 Coaching

You’ll enjoy three sessions with an accredited career coach to identify and support your professional goals. To explore deep insights, and meaningful solutions and enable change.

Group Coaching

You’ll participate in four group coaching sessions to explore shared common problems and develop solutions; building your accountability and growing your network.

Online Self-Study

Based on your goals, you’ll work through a professional development plan via online learning. This follows the process we teach in the Masters in Conservation Leadership at Cambridge University.

Community

You’ll be part of a network of over 1,500 aspiring and professional conservations from across the globe with access to regular events, networking and support.

Who we've worked with

Since 2013 we’ve helped thousands of conservation staff – from across hundreds of organisations – to enjoy successful careers.

“The training provided by Conservation Careers is ideal for mid-career conservationists who are looking to find that sweet spot where their skills and passion can achieve the highest impact”.

Professor Chris Sandbrook | Senior Lecturer and Director of the Masters in Conservation Leadership, Department of Geography, University of Cambridge, Official Fellow, Darwin College, Cambridge.
