MY PERSONALITY
Excessive amount of energy and intuition. Able to handle all situations and inspiring to people around me.
Possess a strong ambition and desire to achieve something great. Work well with groups and often find a
way to create a harmony between the various opinions. Beauty, balance and rhythm acutely appeal to my
senses. Lastly, seeking harmony with my environment in order to maintain or restore balance and find
peace.

MY SKILLS
These include individual and team projects, field reports, commentaries, management plans and
statistical analyses. I have learned data collection methods including focal and scan sampling methods,
transects and behavioral observations.

WORK EXPERIENCE
Job Title: Research Officer – Investigation in to Primate Crop Raiding from Farmlands Surrounding
Gogoni Forest, Buda Forest and Base Titanium mining site, Kwale County, Kenya.
Employer: Colobus Conservation
Period: August 2014 – June 2016

Duties:
 Ensured the collection and data input of all research activities relating to the crop raiding study.
 Carried out research & monitoring of the crop raiding project as per research protocols.
 Made sure that complete, neat and accurate records and data are kept.
 Cataloged all data collected and input into the computer at the end of your working day.
 Supervised the work and safety of field assistants assigned to the project on a daily basis.
 Oversaw the work and safety of any short term volunteers in the field.
 Executed any and all necessary research activities.
 Tracked Research equipment management and inventory with constant communication to the
CC’s Conservation Manager when need be.
 Trained additional researchers in research methods.
 Extensively aided in the task of Report Preparation and Presentations related to the research.

Duties:
 Collected and recorded data on the chronological behavioral patterns of non-human primates that
consist of Vervet, Sykes and the endangered Angolan Colobus monkeys around Diani Ukunda in
the southern Kenyan coast for a period of three months.
 Conducted computation of field data collected at the end of the working day.
 Aided in carrying out Phenology studies whereby the ratio of food resource (leaf buds, young
leaves, mature leaves and fruits) of the different plant species around Diani was compared to
the population of non-human primates it supports for survival.
 Assisted in conducting an annual census on the population of the non-human primates found in
Diani (southern Kenyan coast) to deduce population demographics.

Duties:
 Handled sales and marketing of movies, series, documentaries and video games on a daily
basis.
 Conducted constant clients’ deliveries and follow-ups on a daily basis.
 Performed stock turnover and banking as per schedule.
 Carried out online advertising through social media maintaining a constant client traffic.
