Work Experience:
May 2011-June2011, Bucklebury Farm, near Reading. Duties on the farm included: assisting school parties, cleaning pens and stables and serving customers in the shop.

September – November 2015, Sepilok Rehabilitation Centre, Borneo. Duties included: Caring for orangutans – cleaning cages, preparing food and milk, ensuring orangutans were actively engaged at all times. Carrying out nest surveys in the jungle.

September 2016, St. Tiggywinkles Animal Hospital, Thame. Learned how wildlife hospitals operate and worked in a different area each day. Cleaned out and fed injured animals such as hedgehogs, foxes and various species of birds.

November 2016, Forest House Vetinary Group, Windsor. I spent my week observing vet nurses and the daily duties they carried out as well as getting involved where possible and finding out information about the situations a vet nurse encounters on a day to day basis.

Work:
August, 2015 & March, 2016: Barracudas Activity Day Camp at Gordon’s School, near Woking. Group Assistant duties included: supervising children, creating fun and engaging sessions and ensuring the children’s safety. Multi Activity Qualified duties included carrying out basic maintenance checks on quad bikes, electric go karts and petrol go karts and leading archery and go karting sessions.

November, 20 15: present: Casual Banqueting Assistant at Wentworth Golf Club. Duties involved include waitressing and events, taking payment for cash wines, preparation for upcoming events and the clearing up of past events.

May, 2016: present: I have started volunteering at a local zoo where I feed and clean a variety of animals including Squirrel Monkeys, Meerkats, Ring Tailed Lemurs and Dwarf Mongoose and many others. I also attend ethics meetings with international zoo vets.
