Personal statement
Having recently completed an MRes in applied sciences (wildlife conservation and behaviour); I am now looking for some practical experience to compliment my academic knowledge. My transferrable skills include written and oral communication, scientific research, data analysis and project management. I have a passion for wildlife and I want to propel myself into a career in wildlife conservation.

 

Work experience

Wild Place Project – Camp Baboon Host

Duties:

•      Engage with and assist guests to ensure they have a memorable stay at the glamping site

•      Deliver exceptional experiences to guests involving native wildlife, the parks animals and bushcraft activities

•      Clean and maintain glamping pods

•      Communicate between staff via two way radio

 

November 2015 – August 2016

Aramex – VIP Customer Service Executive

Duties:

•      Answer calls and emails from the companies’ biggest account holders

•      Achieve call and email targets on a weekly basis

•      Train new staff members

•      Organise staff events for team building

Other Interests
Photography – I have a keen interest in nature photography and using the Adobe suite to edit my photographs. I publish and sell my photographs over multiple social media platforms.

Running – I am an active member of my local running club Bramhall Runners; I volunteer by marshaling, time keeping, setting up events and event photography.

Fundraising – In 2015 I undertook the three-week trek to Everest Base Camp (5364m) and helped raise over £2,000 for a Nepali orphanage.

Other sports – Cycling, rock climbing, squash, yoga, walking.
