This position may be filled as either Probation or as a Promotion for Statewide Permanent Status employees. Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) is seeking a research coordinator for Rockefeller Wildlife Refuge (RWR). This position will supervise research staff at RWR as well as Whooping Crane Reintroduction Project staff, based out of White Lake Wetlands Conservation Area. The coordinator will work with staff to conduct research and management projects on RWR and at other sites across Southwest Louisiana. Priorities for research include, but are not limited to, Whooping Cranes, wetland ecosystems, and Species of Greatest Conservation Need, as identified in the Louisiana Wildlife Action Plan.
