Description: Master’s student will study northern bobwhite movement ecology and habitat selection on Fort Bragg Military Reservation in the Sandhills region of North Carolina. Student will use radio-telemetry to monitor individual quail and locate nests. Specific emphasis will be placed on studying northern bobwhite ecology related to prescribed burning during the nesting season (i.e., May – July) and on quail use of fire-maintained vegetation communities.
