Research assistantship is available within the Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Aquaculture at Mississippi State University. Thesis research project is aimed to: 1) understand fine-scale movements of eastern wild turkeys in response to spatiotemporal variation in resources and weather in multiple sites across Mississippi using GPS telemetry; and 2) assess the effects of genetic relatedness and social affinity on the movements of wild turkeys using radio telemetry and microsatellite analysis in central Mississippi.
