Starting salary £34,756 per annum

The Joint Nature Conservation Committee (JNCC) is the statutory adviser to Government on UK and international nature conservation. There is increasing interest in maximising the value and application of data in environmental decision making. This includes making better use of existing and new data sources through emerging techniques and computational capabilities.

The JNCC Senior Analyst will maintain an up-to-date overview of existing and emerging methods and research in analytics; working with a range of partners across the UK and more broadly to identify innovative solutions and novel approaches. The Senior Analyst will be responsible for carrying out a variety of analyses and will be involved in managing research through co-funded PhDs and Masters projects.

The post will work across JNCC’s Evidence Directorate supporting both marine and terrestrial aspects of the Directorates work. The post is initially for 3 years (with a possibility of extension).
