Position Description: A Ph.D. student from the Berman lab at the University at Buffalo is looking to hire two motivated research assistants to help collect dissertation data for 3 months on immature gorilla play communication at the Brookfield and Lincoln Park Zoos in Chicago, Illinois (one assistant per zoo). The assistants are expected to help collect data on the social play behavior and play signaling used to communicate between play partners in order to examine the possible unique meanings of each of the approximately 21 play signals used by immature gorillas.
