An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Conservation Scientist to join the RSPB's team working on seabird and marine conservation. The post-holder will be responsible for overseeing several research projects, which currently include seabird survey, monitoring and tracking. The post-holder is expected to hold a PhD and have several years post-doctoral research experience in seabird ecology or conservation, evidenced by a substantial number of lead-author papers in the peer-reviewed international scientific literature. Experience in line-management of both field assistants and early-career scientists is essential, including management of data collection, analysis and preparation of scientific manuscripts as well as oversight of spend against agreed budgets.
