The MaST Center is the marine laboratory for Highline College and is used for Highline and community classes, research, and other activities.  It is located in Redondo, 10 minutes south of the main campus.  The facility has approximately 3,000 gallons of flow-through aquariums and houses over 250 species of marine life from the Puget Sound.  The MaST Center is open every Saturday to the public during its Discovery Days and hosts over 10,000 visitors annually.  Once a month weekend programs also include the Science on the Sound and the Live Dive program where divers using a video camera and two-way communication take the public on an underwater tour of the Redondo dive site which is home to lots of animals and is a reserve for Giant Pacific Octopus.  During the rest of the week, the Ma
