The successful candidate will work under the supervision of technical staff as well as RC Carpenter and PJ Edmunds, and will support research conducted mostly in Moorea, but also throughout the Pacific and St. John (US Virgin Islands). Their primary responsibilities will be supporting all aspects of the logistics required for near-shore marine research focused on the ecology and physiology of coral reefs and involving extensive use of scuba. Candidates are expected to have a BS in a field-based marine biology topic, experience in the biology/ecology of marine organisms, and strong experience with fieldwork (maintenance of equipment, operating small boats, AAUS scuba training, etc.), preferably in tropical locations.
