We seek a postdoctoral scholar with a background in quantitative fisheries ecology and its application to management to analyze data from multiple acoustic telemetry projects being conducted in the Florida Keys, western Florida nearshore waters, and in the Madison Swanson marine reserve. An additional objective of this position will be to conduct a gap analysis on current acoustic telemetry infrastructure and spatial ecology of high priority Gulf of Mexico (GOM) managed fish species (based on stock status, landings, and life history patterns). This gap analysis will be used to identify locations and species for which additional acoustic telemetry research could most effectively help to inform fisheries management.
