Openings are anticipated throughout the year in the Center for Watershed Sciences at the University of California, Davis for non-tenured, academic term appointments as Junior Specialists. Screening of applicants is ongoing and will continue as needed. The number of positions varies each year, depending on the needs of the Center. This position will aid in implementing studies that look at the abiotic and biotic conditions in various watersheds environments in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California with regard to amphibian or aquatic habitats. Duties include monitoring of amphibian populations using pittagging and radio telemetry equipment, assessment of habitat conditions using basic stream and meadow survey techniques, compiling and entering all field data into excel and access data
