Nature-focused photography ranching operations, where photographers are allowed free or paid access to private lands, are starting to become more common. The objective of this research project is to evaluate the interest in and economics of nature-focused photography from a landowner perspective. This will include designing and conducting land owner surveys and focus group meetings for analysis and evaluating nature-focused photography workshops and workshop participants. In addition to the research focus listed above, the student will design a curriculum (lessons) to use trail camera photos from TX and MT in K-12 education.
