GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Fisheries Biologist conducts field-based population and habitat surveys to support DSF’s conservation mission. The Fisheries Biologist liaises with stakeholders to elicit valuable information, manages field data collection, and performs data entry and analysis. This position engages citizen scientists and provide public trainings for fish monitoring programs. The Fisheries Biologist represents DSF at stakeholder meetings and maintains professional working relationships with the Alewife Harvesters of Maine, the Maine Coast Heritage Trust, The Nature Conservancy, MDMR and other part
