We’re celebrating a DECADE of helping conservationists achieve career success!

Conservation Careers was launched in 2013 to fill a huge gap in the conservation sector. At that time there was no international conservation job board to connect employers with conservationists. And there was no honest, transparent support service for conservationists seeking to save the planet.

“In 2013, my goal was to start an eco-enterprise helping aspiring and professional conservationists in their careers to be successful. I could see there were so many people needing help, and nobody providing honest, open and effective support – so Conservation Careers was born,” said Dr Nick Askew, Founder and Director.

“With space limited at home, I spent a lot of time building Conservation Careers from the back of a campervan by a local lake where the 3G signal was strongest. Being so close to nature also felt right.”

Today, Conservation Careers has become the world’s largest careers advice centre for conservationists, supporting 700,000 conservationists across 235 countries and territories globally.

Just a few highlights from our first decade are…

• Helping 16,588 members through our Conservation Careers Academy.
• Sharing 63,027 conservation jobs on our Job Board (and our growing Job Archive).
• Training 2,067 people in key conservation skills through our online training programmes.
• Connecting 1,585 people in our private online community.
