Position requirements: 75% of time per week will be spent in this department and 25% of time per week supporting the Interpretation department. The successful candidate will join the Science Department as part of Dr. Horning and Dr. Bishop’s research teams and work collaboratively with the Education Department. The research group currently focuses on topics including Steller sea lion reproduction and survival, pinniped and shark movement ecology, telemetry tag development, and animal behavior.  The fellow will work with the research team to develop outreach, communication, and educational programming materials that relate to work we are conducting; specifically on walrus prey availability and the use of environmental DNA as a survey tool.
