BirdLife International is the world’s largest nature conservation partnership. Through our unique local-to-global approach, we deliver high impact and long-term conservation for the benefit of nature and people. We are looking for a spatial analyst to conduct research to evaluate the risk of plastic encounter by seabirds. The position is part of a multi partner project and the successful candidate will work in collaboration with the University of Cambridge, the British Antarctic Survey and Fauna and Flora International, with regular travel between offices (all located in Cambridge). The role will include modelling the distribution of small pelagic seabirds and overlaying with areas of plastic accumulation in the oceans, and publishing results as original scientific manuscripts.
