Main Purpose The insect pollinator field technician will assist with various survey-based projects in southwestern Ontario. The goals of the project are to identify abundance and diversity of insect pollinators, and will include basic collection techniques, pinning, labelling, databasing of specimens, and basic taxonomy. Key responsibilities  Assist with the design of and carrying out of field activities related to insect surveys;  Conduct insect surveys using active (e.g., netting, sweeping) and passive (Malaise traps) methods;  Prepare insect specimens for curation, including sorting to species or family, pinning and labelling  Prepare specimen labels to encode data denoting species, location, date, and collector.  Using proper techniques to pin specimens 
