Job Description:
The fisher (Pekania pennanti) and the Pacific marten (Martes caurina) of the southern Sierra Nevada Mountains and are considered sensitive species by the National Forests in the region. The Pacific Southwest Region 5 (R5) Carnivore Monitoring Program has been monitoring fisher, marten and other co-occurring carnivore species across Sierra Nevada forests since 2002 to assess population trends.
