In collaboration with PIFSC scientists, this position will explore data needs and assessment options for non-target species captured in Hawai’i based fisheries. Workflows and data processing will include, but are not limited to, the exploration of a suite of stock assessment methods, data synthesis, and data standardization. This position will collaborate and coordinate with other project leads, assessment scientists, and data scientists within NOAA Fisheries Pacific Island Fisheries Science Center as well as members of the Western Pacific Regional Fisheries Management Council and the Hawai’i Department of Aquatic Resources.  Results of this work will be conveyed effectively to a wide variety of audiences through reports, potentially  peer-reviewed scientific publications, and presen
