Under the responsibility of the Head of Group – Biodiversity and Nature, reporting to the Head of the Natural Capital and Ecosystems Programme, the expert shall contribute to the monitoring and reporting of nature and biodiversity incl. Invasive Alien Species (IAS). The work will be conducted within the EEA management framework. The particular focus will be on the development of an integrated framework for monitoring assessment and reporting under the biodiversity strategy to 2030. Part of this will be the development of the next cycle of the reporting under the nature directives and IAS regulation and the streamlining of monitoring and reporting processes under the WFD and MSFD, taking into account the specific objectives under each of these directives.
