North England Forest District is headed by Forest Management Director Kevin May and has a complement of over 110 staff. The district comprises 61,000 hectares of forest and 25,000 hectares of open land. Annual timber production is 600,000 m3 (30% of England’s timber production).

Job description

Represent Forestry England:
Actively maintain productive relationships with a variety of stakeholders. Represent Forestry England during day to day tasks throughout the forest.
Forest and Estate Management:
  • Carry out a wide range of practical works including tree planting, weeding (chemical and manual)
