Description:
Nebraska Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is seeking avian field technicians (2) to assist a PhD student with grassland bird point count and vegetation surveys in Nebraska’s Sandhills region, the largest intact temperate grassland in North America.  Technicians will collect survey data to evaluate bird response to woody vegetation removal from the grassland ecosystem to inform management practices.  This a collaborative project with Rainwater Basin Joint Venture, Natural Resources Conservation Service, and Nebraska Game and Parks Commission.
