Wood Buffalo Wildlife Research Institute is accepting applications for an Institute Bird Bander, a term-employment position from May 1 to September 30, 2024. The Institute Bird Bander will be an employee of the WBWRI. Compensation will be commensurate with experience. The Institute Bird Bander will be supported by the Institute Biologist and and the WBWRI Board of Directors, a team of individuals having substantial experience in wildlife monitoring and research projects and management of complex programs.
The primary responsibilities of the Institute Bird Bander include:
  • Operation of the WBWRI’s fall migration monitoring station, including overseeing and mentoring junior bird banders and volunteers; and
