The position exists to enhance native fish management, research, education, and outreach across the state of Minnesota.  The incumbent will be responsible for identifying management and information needs, developing and implementing research projects to meet those needs, and synthesizing information into management strategies for native fishes, including native rough fishes. The position will provide technical direction and support for fisheries management decisions, regulation proposals, state and federal listing assessments, and habitat improvement needs.
