The Joint Institute for Marine and Atmospheric Research (JIMAR) is currently recruiting a Coral Bleaching Analyst within the PIFSC Ecosystem Sciences Division based in Honolulu, HI. Hawai’i is very likely to experience a major bleaching event in September-October of 2019. Leveraging the Hawai’i Coral Bleaching Collaborative and prior bleaching studies initiated in 2015, we are planning a multi-institution response that applies a structured, hypothesis-driven approach to document the extent of coral bleaching and lay the groundwork for tracking coral response and recovery.
