We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join our small, friendly Ecology and Nature Conservation team. The East Riding of Yorkshire is one of the country’s largest unitary authorities with a wealth of varied and interesting landscapes and habitats, including the Yorkshire Wolds, the Heritage Coast at Flamborough, and the long expansive East Yorkshire coastline ending at Spurn Point at the mouth of the Humber Estuary, internationally recognised for its nature conservation importance. As the Principal Ecologist you will spend most of your time working in this varied and interesting landscape, carrying out the statutory duties of the Council in respect of the ecology and nature conservation considerations for new development proposals. You will be part the Councilâ€
