Position Description: We are currently seeking team members for our stream restoration and monitoring crew. Crew members will work in the Asotin Intensively Monitored Watershed, assisting with ongoing research on physical and biological responses to stream restoration. Crew members will work out of Asotin, WA in teams of 4-6, conducting electrofishing surveys and building low-tech, process-based restoration (LTPBR) structures. These structures include Beaver Dam Analogs (BDAs) and Post-Assisted Log Structures (PALS). Crews spend their days outdoors encountering natural elements including vegetation, wildlife, and weather events, moving across rough, uneven, slippery terrain, and repetitively lifting and carrying heavy objects (50+ lbs).
