This is a role to get excited about! You will be located in St Arnaud, Lake Rotoiti and will lead a talented, high performing tight-knit team of six biodiversity rangers. Scheduling the work and helping to develop the plan over the coming months is key to role. The biodiversity work is varied in the extreme including species (plant and animal) management, pest control and monitoring and ranges widely across the Nelson Lakes district, from the ultramafic and alpine tops, beech forests to braided-gravel riverbeds and wetlands, tarns and the lakes themselves. The terrain by in large is mountainous and rugged and much of biodiversity field work is off track.
