Responsibilities

As a Supervisory Marine Scientist, you will perform the following duties: • Perform a full range of supervisory functions, including workload planning and distribution, evaluation of subordinate performance, procurement, and budget planning and execution within the program in Alaska Fisheries Science Center (AFSC) Kodiak Laboratory. • Perform in the full cycle of research projects, including development of idea/hypotheses, creation and execution of experimental design, analysis of data, and presentation and peer-reviewed publication of research results. • Execute research and management activities for fisheries resources directly applicable to the management of crab fisheries or aquaculture in Alaska, such as overseeing annual bottom
