The Nature Conservancy’s Science Team in California is hiring a Landscape Scientist. This is a newly created applied scientist position that will be based in Los Angeles. The Landscape Scientist will serve as a scientific lead for efforts to develop integrated land use and conservation plans (e.g. greenprints) and tools that demonstrate novel approaches for conservation. The person hired in this position will maintain strong collaborative relationships with conservation practitioners, stakeholders, agency staff, and other scientists both internal and external to the Conservancy. Strong project management, organization, technical, and communication skills are required, as well as a Master’s degree (Ph.D. preferred) and at least two years of work experience.
