The Great Basin Institute, in cooperation with the National Park Service, is recruiting a Wildlife/Fisher GIS-Field Technician to support conservation, management and restoration of natural resources/ecosystems in and around Sequoia-Kings Canyon NP (SEKI) to help promote stewardship of public lands during a period of landscape change. We seek a person that has both field and GIS/spatial data skills. The Wildlife/Fisher GIS-Field Technician will use survey and monitoring methods to learn more about fisher habitat use in a landscape altered by tree mortality and fire to better inform fuel and forest management as well as fisher conservation in this region.
