Summary:  This position assists staff Aquarists with the daily husbandry responsibilities of New England Aquarium’s Yawkey Coral Reef Center. This gallery focuses on habitats and species native to the Caribbean, including animals such as coral, dwarf seahorses, and garden eels. Interns in this role will have the opportunity to learn more about the care for tropical fish and invertebrate species, maintaining aquarium systems and other routine duties related to animal care. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:   
  • Assist with daily husbandry functions including the maintenance of living exhibits, holding, and life support systems
  • Assist with monitoring water parameters for associated systems
  • Diet preparation and fee
