The Teichberg lab at the MBL seeks a highly motivated individual to join The Ecosystems Center as a temporary, full-time Research Assistant I to assist with the SEAGEN project.  This project aims to develop biotechnology for regeneration of seagrass tissue from protoplasts and callus formation for use in genetic transformation experiments. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing various media for seagrass plant tissue regeneration. Tasks include starting and maintaining seagrass tissue cultures, setting up experiments to test methods of regeneration with different types of seagrass tissue and media, and data collection and analysis. This position is primarily lab work with some fieldwork for sample collection.
